PNC Financial Services Group Inc. on Tuesday became the latest defendant to settle infringement claims in Texas over two widely asserted patents related to marketing systems for financial products.

An Arizona company has slapped more than three dozen insurers and financial companies, including Allstate Corp., Bank of America Corp., Prudential Life Insurance Co. of America and Barclays PLC, with allegations of patent infringement on automated financial services marketing programs.
