Openwave Systems Inc. on Monday agreed to pay $12 million to Myriad Group AG to settle a California breach of contract suit Openwave brought after selling Myriad its mobile phone software business and associated intellectual property.

A federal judge in California refused Thursday to kick Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP out of its client Openwave Systems Inc.'s $4.2 million contract suit against Myriad France SAS over technology patents tied to a software assets deal.
