A Maryland federal judge on Thursday refused to toss a concert promoter's antitrust suit alleging Live Nation Entertainment Inc. had unlawfully amassed monopoly power and restrained competition through illegal tying arrangements with artists, saying additional discovery was needed.

A Maryland federal judge on Tuesday denied Live Nation Inc.'s bid for judicial notice of records related to its merger with Ticketmaster Entertainment Inc. and other exhibits the concert promoter said supported its defense of a smaller rival's antitrust claims.
