Judge Approves Modified Verizon 'Cramming' Settlement
A California federal judge on Wednesday approved an adjusted class settlement between Verizon Communications Inc. and consumers who say they were hit with unauthorized third-party charges on landline phone bills, but said the court was reviewing a $7.5 million attorneys' fee award.

Verizon Offers Refunds, Up To $7.5M Fees In Cramming Deal
Verizon Communications Inc. on Tuesday won preliminary court approval of a settlement that provides refunds and up to $7.5 million in attorneys' fees to customers bringing a class action in California over unauthorized third-party charges on landline phone bills.
