    Kirkland & Ellis, Magnetek Call Quits On Malpractice Suit

    Kirkland & Ellis LLP and former client Magnetek Inc. agreed on Friday to dismiss an Illinois federal suit alleging the law firm had failed to research prior art that could have saved Magnetek from paying an almost $19 million arbitration award to an inventor who claimed the company infringed his patents.
