Judge Trims Securities MDL Claims Against Merck Execs
A New Jersey federal judge on Wednesday trimmed securities fraud claims in multidistrict litigation against Merck & Co. Inc. and its executives after employee pension plans claimed they had misrepresented the company's financial health by hiding the heart risks of its recalled arthritis medication Vioxx.

Most Claims Stand In Securities Suit Over Vioxx Risks
A New Jersey federal judge on Monday preserved most claims against Merck & Co. Inc. in a securities class action filed by employee investors claiming the company inflated stock prices by downplaying a possible link between heart attack risks and its shelved painkiller Vioxx.
