A Texas federal judge on Wednesday rejected Hitachi Consumer Electronics Co. Ltd.'s bid for a new trial in a lawsuit over TPV Technology Ltd.'s alleged infringement of Hitachi's television receiver patents, holding that a federal jury ruled reasonably in its verdict.

Hitachi Consumer Electronics Co. Ltd. on Friday lost a lawsuit against TPV Technology Ltd. over alleged infringement of patents on television receivers, when a Texas federal jury found that Hitachi failed to prove that TPV infringed any of the claims of the patents.
