The Gap Escapes 'Lower East Side' Trademark Suit
A New York federal judge ruled Thursday that Gap Inc. did not infringe trademarks inspired by Manhattan's Lower East Side neighborhood, finding that T-shirts made by the marks' owner don't resemble those sold under Gap's Old Navy brand closely enough to cause confusion.
