An Arizona federal judge on Tuesday gave preliminary approval to Bashas' Inc.'s $6.5 million settlement with a class of Hispanic workers who accused the grocery chain owner of nearly a decade of discrimination by paying them less than white workers.

Bashas' Inc. will pay $6.5 million to settle a class action accusing the grocery chain of discriminating against Hispanic workers for almost a decade by paying them less than white employees, according to an agreement filed in Arizona federal court on Wednesday.
