A Connecticut federal judge on Thursday closed a subrogation suit brought by Ace American Insurance Co. and other insurers over $200 million in losses stemming from a deadly power plant explosion, after granting Siemens AG and Spectra Energy Inc.'s motions to dismiss the day before.

A Connecticut federal judge on Thursday dismissed claims against seven companies targeted in Ace American Insurance Co.'s subrogation suit seeking compensation for $200 million in losses associated with a deadly explosion at a Connecticut power plant in 2010.
