Asbestos Claimants Denied Class Cert In Malpractice Suit
A federal judge on Thursday declined to certify a class of nearly 16,000 South Carolina residents who had sued their attorneys for allegedly mishandling their asbestos claims, saying that the issue of whether the individual claimants had viable workers' compensation claims trumped any issues common to the class.
