A California federal judge on Friday ended a former Walgreen Co. employee's suitable seating case, ruling Friday she couldn't sue the company for labor violations after getting paid her portion of a $23 million settlement in another case.

Walgreens asked a California federal judge Tuesday to reopen a wage-and-hour class action it settled several years ago for $23 million so he can enforce the settlement, saying a former employee is trying to reopen the suit in state court and shouldn't be allowed to do so.
