A New York federal judge dismissed a class action alleging JetBlue Airways Corp. illegally kept passengers stranded for more than seven hours during an October snowstorm, ruling the plaintiffs' claims were preempted by federal law, according to court documents made available Wednesday.

Airline passengers stranded on the tarmac for more than seven hours during an October snowstorm have slapped JetBlue Airways Corp. with a proposed class action over the delays and "inhumane" conditions aboard several planes, Parker Waichman Alonso LLP said Friday.
