Insurer Ordered To Cover Highway Asphalt Spill Claims
Excess insurer Hallmark Specialty Insurance Co. must defend a trucking company against more than 1,000 claims of car damage from an asphalt spill on a Pennsylvania highway, a federal judge ruled Friday after determining a pollution exclusion didn't bar coverage.

Travelers Seeks $1M Cap On Highway Tar Spill Claims
Travelers Indemnity Co. sought a declaration Friday that it only needs to pay up to $1 million for the nearly 1,000 claims related to car damage allegedly caused by a pre-Thanksgiving asphalt spill on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
