CFTC, Ex-Amaranth Trader To Settle Manipulation Charges
Former Amaranth Advisors LLC trader Brian Hunter will pay $750,000 to settle the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission's allegations that he helped the fund manipulate energy futures prices before its collapse in 2007, according to court documents filed in New York federal court Monday.

No Quick Ruling In CFTC's Price Suit Against Gas Trader
A New York federal judge declined Monday to rule on allegations by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission that Amaranth Advisors LLC's former chief natural gas trader intentionally manipulated futures prices in 2006.
