An Alabama federal judge refused Friday to nullify two summary judgment rulings against QBE Insurance Co. following the insurer's settlements with the underlying plaintiffs over coverage for claims that a cemetery did not keep track of who was buried where.

A federal judge on Friday said QBE Insurance Co. must defend an Alabama cemetery in litigation over the facility's alleged failure to keep and maintain adequate records of the locations where people are buried.
