A California federal judge on Tuesday refused to dismiss a suit alleging eBay Inc. violated MasterObjects Inc.'s patent for Internet search fields that fill out likely answers as users type in letters, rejecting eBay's argument that the patent language wasn't specific enough to be enforceable.
