Citibank Pays Up To $7.9M To End Debit Card Overdraft Suit
Citibank Inc. has agreed to pay up to $7.9 million to settle a proposed class action accusing the bank of of fraudulently charging customers overdraft fees on debit card purchases, according to settlement documents filed Friday.

Judge Won't Toss Suit Over Citibank Debit Card Overdrafts
A California federal judge on Friday refused to throw out a proposed class action accusing Citibank Inc. of fraudulently charging customers overdraft fees on debit card purchases, saying Citibank's argument that customers had to file a complaint with the bank within 30 days of each charge was unreasonable.
