Michael Jackson's former concert promoter has been purged of contempt and released from federal custody after terminating some $1.4 billion in liens he filed against Dentons LLP and Loeb & Loeb LLP attorneys and William Morris Endeavor Entertainment LLC in defiance of a court order, according to court papers filed Wednesday.

A New York federal judge on Thursday ruled that a concert promoter, who once worked for Michael Jackson, was in contempt of court when he filed liens worth upward of $1 billion against William Morris Endeavor Entertainment LLC and attorneys at Dentons and Loeb & Loeb LLP.
