BP Products North America Inc. has agreed to pay $210,000 in penalties to resolve a suit brought by the federal government alleging the oil giant failed two oil spill response tests at a terminal on the Chesapeake Bay, according to a consent decree made public Friday.

The U.S. Department of Justice hit BP Products North America Inc. with a suit Thursday claiming the energy giant failed a pair of oil spill response tests at a terminal outside Baltimore, Md., where it stores millions of gallons of oil.
