An Arizona federal judge on Wednesday upheld the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's decision not to give Endangered Species Act protection to the Sonoran Desert bald eagle population, finding the analysis used by the agency was not flawed and took adequate scientific evidence into consideration.

Environmental groups on Tuesday challenged the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's April decision not to give Endangered Species Act protection to the Sonoran Desert bald eagle population, saying the agency had performed a flawed analysis and needed to do another one.
