    Hypothesis-Testing Patents Killed By Alice, Judge Rules

    A Pennsylvania federal judge on Tuesday invalidated three EngineRoom LLC patents for an automated method of testing scientific hypotheses because they claim nothing more than an abstract idea under the U.S. Supreme Court's Alice ruling, a win for rival business software developer Minitab Inc., which challenged the patents' validity.
