    A California federal judge on Tuesday axed a proposed $1.35 million settlement that visual effects company The Mill Group Inc. and human resources provider Churchill Benefit Corp. reached with a class of Mill artists who alleged the company made improper wage deductions, saying the attorneys' fees are too high.
