    DirecTV Faces Patent Suit Over 'Single Wire' License

    Tallahassee, Fla.-based Global Communications Inc. sued DirecTV Inc. in federal court Thursday, saying the satellite television provider violated five patents for improved broadcasting technology by allowing third parties to build equipment relying on the patents after a licensing agreement lapsed.
