Viacom Says Child Tracking Info Not Covered By Privacy Vow
Viacom Inc. pushed again Tuesday to shake the remaining privacy claim from a putative class action in New Jersey federal court accusing Nickelodeon of tracking the online activity of children under 13, arguing that the media company's vow not to collect personal information didn't extend to data that can't be used to actually identify users.
