A Colorado federal judge on Monday concluded that Ace American Insurance Co. owes no defense to Dish Network LLC in litigation over the company's alleged violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and other statutes because the penalties sought don't constitute covered damages.

ACE American Insurance Co. launched a suit in Colorado federal court Monday saying it had no duty to defend Dish Network LLC in litigation over the company's alleged telemarketing calls to individuals whose numbers are on the National Do Not Call Registry.
