    Ex-Stanford Bank GC Dodges Subpoena In Houston

    A Texas federal judge on Wednesday quashed a subpoena issued by Stanford International Bank Ltd.'s court-appointed receiver for former Stanford general counsel Pablo M. Alvarado, who lives in Miami, to travel to Houston for a deposition, saying Alvarado is outside the subpoena power of the Houston court.
