A Florida federal judge on Monday ruled that state law does not require United Services Automobile Association to obtain affirmative consent before raising homeowners' limits on building law and ordinance coverage, tossing a breach of contract class action over the resulting premium hikes.

USAA Casualty Insurance Co. was hit with a proposed class action in Florida federal court Friday alleging it unilaterally raised law and ordinance coverage in homeowners' policies without their consent, automatically triggering higher premiums in breach of their contracts.
