Microsoft Shells Out $23M To Settle VirnetX Patent Case
Microsoft Corp. on Friday said it would pay $23 million and drop a challenge to one of VirnetX Inc.'s network security patents to end VirnetX's infringement suit in Texas federal court claiming Microsoft breached a $200 million licensing agreement.

VirnetX Sues Microsoft For Breaching $200M Patent License
VirnetX Holding Corp. hit Microsoft Corp. with a new patent infringement suit in Texas federal court Monday, claiming the software giant's Skype and Lync programs violate six VirnetX patents — three years after the company won a $106 million verdict against Microsoft for infringing some of the same patents.
