A Delaware federal court has rejected Apple's bid for sanctions against Susman Godfrey LLP attorneys in connection with a patent trial, in which they failed to convince a jury that Google's various smartphones and applications infringed a data systems patent held by Arendi SARL.

Susman Godfrey LLP on Thursday fired back at a sanctions bid from Apple in patent litigation over smartphone technology, saying it didn't intentionally solicit confidential information during a trial involving its client, Arendi SARL, and Google and calling Apple's position "extremely dangerous."
