Statoil Escapes Crude Oil Price-Fixing MDL
Statoil ASA on Tuesday ducked multidistrict litigation accusing it and companies such as BP PLC and Royal Dutch Shell PLC of manipulating crude oil futures, after a New York federal judge determined that the plaintiffs failed to prove that the Norway-owned company committed any illegal acts in the U.S. relevant to the case.

BP, Shell Slammed With More Crude-Oil Price-Fixing Claims
An Illinois private placement fund mounted a putative class action against BP PLC, Royal Dutch Shell PLC and Statoil ASA in New York Monday over the alleged crude oil futures manipulation scheme that put the companies in the crosshairs of a recent European regulatory sting.
