A Maryland federal judge on Thursday partially granted a patent licensing company's bid to remand to state court a $570 million lawsuit against Boston Scientific Corp. over an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator, finding Thursday that removal to district court was untimely.

Boston Scientific was sued for $570 million by the patent licensing company of a doctor who invented the implantable cardioverter-defibrillator, in a case removed to federal court last week that accuses the company of secretly settling with an alleged infringer and failing to share the proceeds.
