    4th Circ. Says Arbitrator Manifestly Disregarded Law

    The Fourth Circuit vacated an unnamed arbitrator's $457,108 award to an accountant on counterclaims against a former employer who accused him of violating a noncompete, taking the rare step of nixing an arbitrator's decision because of "manifest disregard" for the law.
