Cargill To Pay $5M In 'Natural' Sweetener False Ad Deal
Cargill Inc. on Thursday agreed to pay $5 million and update its product advertising to escape a putative nationwide class action claiming the company deceives consumers by pitching its stevia-based Truvia sweetener as "natural" despite the use of chemical processing and genetically modified corn.
