Facebook's $20M Privacy Deal Is Illegal, Dad Tells 9th Circ.
A father objecting to a $20 million settlement between Facebook Inc. and parents whose kids' pictures were used in the company's ads pressed the Ninth Circuit on Wednesday for a rehearing in order to block the deal, claiming that the court has allowed Facebook to violate California law.

Facebook users who sued over the social media giant's use of members' photos in ads without permission urged the Ninth Circuit on Friday to rehear an appeal over a $20 million settlement, arguing that a three-judge panel wrongly allowed some of the funds to go to charity.
