A Texas federal judge on Tuesday tossed a Tesoro Corp. unit's $15 million suit alleging National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa., wrongfully denied coverage under a commercial crime policy, saying a Tesoro employee who forged letters of credit for fuel did not commit theft as the policy requires.

A Tesoro Corp. unit has pressed a Texas federal judge to find National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa., in contempt for allegedly holding back important documents in their $15 million coverage dispute, saying the insurer is in "flagrant violation" of a discovery order.
