McAfee Settles Auto-Renewal, Faulty Discount Suit For $80M
McAfee will pay potentially $80 million and implement policy changes to settle allegations the security software maker auto-renewed customers' subscriptions at a higher price than initially indicated and allegedly listed discounts with faulty past price references, according to an agreement submitted to a California federal judge Thursday.
