CORRECTED: Hartford Accused Of Using Faked Sandy Reports

More evidence has surfaced that insurance companies, including Hartford Insurance Company of the Midwest, used secretly altered engineering reports to cheat Superstorm Sandy victims, according to a letter sent Monday by a lawyer representing New York homeowners in New York federal court. (An earlier lede incorrectly reported the allegations regarding the altering of the engineering reports. The error has been corrected.)
