    ERISA Doesn’t Preempt Texas Insurance Law, Judge Rules

    A Texas law mandating timely insurance payments does not bump up against the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, a federal judge ruled Wednesday, saying that Aetna Life Insurance Co. could not escape two health care providers’ payment demand for more than $73 million.
