    Apple Can't Shave $200M From Potential IP Trial Damages

    Apple lost a bid Tuesday to lower by about $200 million the damages that the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation can win in an upcoming patent trial alleging Apple's iPhone and iPad infringe a processor patent, when a Wisconsin federal judge said Apple couldn't prove that those damages were forfeited.

    Apple Presses PTAB For AIA Review Of Processor Patent

    Apple Inc. on Tuesday filed a petition at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board for inter partes review of a patent that streamlines computer microprocessors that a group of researchers at the University of Wisconsin accused Apple of infringing with its recent iPhone and iPad models, saying the patent's technology was obvious in light of prior art.
