    An Illinois federal judge has let General Star National Insurance Co. off the hook from defending a real estate appraisal and consulting firm in underlying suits alleging it participated in a scheme to defraud banks out of millions of dollars by intentionally preparing inflated appraisals, finding the claims are excluded from coverage.
