Class Deal Over Hospital's 'Church Plan' Receives Final OK
An Illinois federal judge gave the final sign-off on Wednesday to a settlement ending a class of hospital workers' claims that Advocate Health Care Network improperly classifies its pension plan as a church plan, saying the deal "is about as good as what could have been achieved under the circumstances."

Hospital Workers Urge Deal In 'Church Plan' Suit, $1.2M Fees
Attorneys leading a class of hospital workers accusing Advocate Healthcare Network of improperly classifying its pension plan as a "church plan" asked an Illinois federal judge Friday to grant final approval to a proposed deal that would resolve the dispute and award them up to $1.25 million in legal fees.
