A Texas federal judge on Wednesday nixed a proposed class action accusing Equifax of unlawfully turning over consumers' credit reports to a state tax authority, ruling that while plaintiffs had met the standing bar set by the U.S. Supreme Court's Spokeo decision, they had not shown that the company had willfully violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
