Starr Surplus Lines Insurance Co. lost a bid Thursday to avoid a coverage suit brought by Chicken of the Sea maker Tri-Union Seafoods LLC over a recall of potentially contaminated shellfish when a California federal judge ruled that Tri-Union's claims were reasonable and should be argued in California, not New York.
