Judge Backs USPTO In Inventor's Suit Over Long Delays
A Virginia federal judge on Thursday sided with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in an inventor's suit that contests the agency's decades-long delay in taking final action on 80 of his patent applications, finding that because examination of the applications is currently underway, as required by law, there is no action for the court to take.
