Urban Outfitters Can't Duck 2nd IP Suit Over Dress Design
A California federal court denied Urban Outfitters Inc.'s request to dismiss claims brought by Unicolors Inc., which sued the store along with Century 21 and dozens of other retailers over an allegedly infringing dress print, finding the copyright holder's choice to file separate but related suits was not improper.

Urban Outfitters Wants Law Firm Sanctioned For Duplicate Suit
Urban Outfitters Inc. asked a California federal court Thursday to sanction Doniger Burroughs APC for allegedly filing identical suits in the same court accusing Macy's Inc., Saks Inc. and 63 other retailers of selling a dress, made by Urban subsidiary Free People, that sports a stolen print.
