Vitamin Shoppe Inc. asked a California federal judge on Friday to dismiss a proposed class action claiming that it falsely advertises a dietary supplement, saying that the product alleged in the complaint doesn't exist.

Vitamin Shoppe Inc. was hit Wednesday with a suit in California federal court brought by a putative class of consumers who say the company deceived them by listing only the organic ingredients in a supplement and leaving out the cheaper, nonorganic component that makes up most of the product.
