The U.S. Department of Interior agreed on Tuesday to hand over documents placing the location of hydraulic fracking wells in the Gulf of Mexico in order to end a Center for Biological Diversity lawsuit accusing the government of hiding the information.

The Center for Biological Diversity sued federal offshore drilling regulators in D.C. district court on Thursday, claiming they're stonewalling the group's request for information on how much hydraulic fracturing activity has been permitted in the Gulf of Mexico.
