    AstraZeneca LP will pay the federal government $7.9 million to settle False Claims Act allegations originally brought by employee whistleblowers that the company paid kickbacks to Medco Health Solutions Inc., which gave unfair preference to AstraZeneca's drug Nexium, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Tuesday.
