A New York federal judge has granted a request to consolidate several putative class actions filed by futures traders accusing several banks of orchestrating a conspiracy to rig foreign exchange markets, appointing Scott & Scott Attorneys at Law LLP as interim co-lead counsel of the exchange-traded class.

Plaintiffs in a consolidated class action alleging several banks rigged the foreign exchange market asked a New York federal judge Thursday to add four more cases to their action, but a trio of banks in their own letter to the court requested the cases be consolidated separately from the larger case.
